No one is addressing the HUGE elephant in the room! Our whole culture for 2-3 years has been impacted by covid and the lock downs. Universities and Schools closed down, young adults and teens where locked in their homes with no socialization exception their cellphones which has caused a raise in addictions of every sort and people have gotten caught in some really actives they never would have done if the last few years had been normal. There is a raise in OF for the girls and the guys are at home watching instead of out asking out the other girls on dates, the rise of red pill affecting men (mental) and the consequences of feminism.
Unfortunately people are always looking for something new instead of something true. There will always be new things. We as humans are easily discontent, and knowing the latest gossip and the newest trend in clothing, makeup, breakup etc keeps our natural curiosity feed, but for the most part we are feeding ourselves junk news instead of (edifying-real true?) news.
I have found that being creative offsets the need for constantly feeding ourselves the news of the popular culture. Do we really need to know every single thing a celebrity does? If you keep an eye on how you feel after digesting an hour on social media, you will most likely find yourself depressed, envious, hopeless and empty. Social media are empty calorie mind junk food. (Look up ) we are feeding ourselves on other peoples lives where they show up a superflourious parts of their lives. Not the real part (nor should they) its the glitzy magazine cover but we don’t see the hours of makeup and prep involved in making just one picture.
The question is, is this where you should be spending your time? (Is it true? Is it necessary, is it encouraging, inspiring? If not shut it off and use your time and energies for something else.
Try, I know its hard but just try and instead of engaging in social media, write, draw, practice singing or playing the guitar. I stopped social media it was very depressing and I ended up writing this book-so look at that if I can do it so can you!
